The Atlanta Falcons know the value of a quality starting quarterback as well as anyone in the league, and their first four games of the 2026 NFL season are proof of this. The Falcons failed to reach the red zone a single time in the first two weeks, going 0-2 with Cooper Rush under center.
Then Michael Penix Jr. entered the lineup and Atlanta transformed into the NFL's best offenses over the last two weeks. The Falcons put up 80 combined points against the Green Bay Packers and New Orleans Saints. And suddenly, they look like one of the most dangerous teams in the entire NFC.
In Week 5, the Falcons have another tough test against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday Night Football. However, the Ravens have ruled out starting quarterback Lamar Jackson
due to an ankle injury, so Atlanta has a decent chance to secure its third-straight win in prime time.
Left tackle Jake Matthews and linebacker Divine Deablo are both questionable for Sunday's game, while defensive end Za'Darius Smith has been ruled out due to a concussion/neck injury. Check out the Falcons' starting lineups on offense, defense and special teams below.
