New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye gave the ultimate compliment to his offensive line, following the team's 45-17 blowout win over the Las Vegas Raiders last week.
The third-year quarterback had a monster day throwing the football with 374 passing yards and four touchdowns. He also ran for 25 yards and one touchdown. When asked about his incredible performance after the game, he gave credit to the offensive line for blocking up front.
“The first touchdown to Pop, I’m back there, credit to the offensive line, eating a ham sandwich. I got all day back there," said Maye.
It's a fair observation from Maye, who had an incredible amount of time to survey the field, set his feet and deliver a deep throw to a wide-open DeMario Douglas for a 35-yard
touchdown.

To be fair, Maye had time to eat sandwiches all day against the Raiders, given how good the pass protection was in the game. The offensive line put forth one of its best performances of the season, despite dealing with multiple injuries up front.
If the unit keeps it together, Maye will be eating good all season.
