Former New England Patriots wide receiver Javon Baker took to social media on Thursday night and noted that he still wants to play football.
"I'll be lying if I say I don't miss playing," Baker posted in an Instagram story.
Baker was selected by the Patriots in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. He played in 11 games and caught just one pass for 12 yards as a rookie.
He was released by the Patriots in 2025 during the final roster cuts. After clearing waivers, he signed with the Philadelphia Eagles' practice squad. The UCF product also found a home on the San Francisco 49ers' practice squad for a short period of time.

Baker flashed talent at the collegiate level. He recorded 170 receptions for 2,052 yards and 13 touchdowns over the course of four seasons. Unfortunately, he was never able to put it together at the NFL level.
