The New England Patriots could have a tougher-than-expected task on their hands when going head-to-head with the New York Jets on Sunday.
Sure, the Jets are lacking explosiveness on the offensive side of the ball. They will also once again be playing without their starting running back, Breece Hall, for this AFC East matchup. However, they do have a reliable veteran under center at quarterback in Geno Smith, who isn't turning the ball over.
On the other side, they have a top-five defensive unit that has been able to keep them in most games.
They are coming off their second win of the season after a 17-12 victory over the Cleveland Browns last week. Meanwhile, the Patriots have looked like one of the hottest teams in the NFL after back-to-back wins
over the Buffalo Bills and Las Vegas Raiders.
Maye has been sensational at quarterback in recent outings. He went on the road and outdueled Josh Allen at Orchard Park, and then he threw for 374 passing yards and four touchdowns on the 3-1 Raiders last week. Can he keep it going in Week 6?
Here are the final predictions from the Patriots Wire staff for the Week 6 matchup:
Danny Jaillet: Patriots 38, Jets 10
Sophie Weller: Patriots 35, Jets 10
Jordy McElroy: Patriots 27, Jets 10
