New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel commented on TreVeyon Henderson's medical update in a social media post on Friday.
The second-year running back, who missed last week's game against the Miami Dolphins with a mysterious "illness," revealed that he had "an unexpected and unusual medical emergency involving a series of unexplained neurological symptoms."
Vrabel announced that Henderson will be out this week against the Green Bay Packers, and he also explained how he'd be supporting the burgeoning star rusher along the way.
"I know that he is well-loved and respected on our football team. My support shows up in a lot of different ways in just trying to make sure that TreVeyon is cared for and that the recovery plan is intact and that he's comfortable
with it," said Vrabel. "...To support him the best way I know how is just to care for him, listen to him and do whatever we can to get healthy and get back and to help this football team and do what he loves."

Henderson revealed that the issues have affected his strength, coordination and some of his physical functions. He will continue working with specialists to focus on his long-term recovery.
"While the results of my comprehensive medical testing have come back positive and reassuring, the cause of this remains unknown and unexplainable," Henderson wrote in the statement. "...We respectfully ask for continued prayers and privacy as we focus on my health and recovery."
With Henderson sidelined, the Patriots will likely continue to utilize Corey Kiner as the No. 2 running back behind Rhamondre Stevenson. Lan Larison, who was signed to the main roster last week, will continue to serve as the No. 3 option at the position.
