The New England Patriots will host their first home game of the 2026 season in Sunday's AFC clash with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
A disappointing regular season opener against the Seattle Seahawks should have the Patriots eager to right the ship in Week 2. The team had a golden opportunity to knock off the defending champions at Lumen Field after Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold went down with an injury in the first drive of the game.
Despite holding a 10-0 lead, the Patriots suffered one of the worst meltdowns in years with Drake Maye throwing three interceptions and the Drew Lock-led Seahawks coming from behind and beating them 13-10.
The Steelers didn't look particularly impressive on offense in their opener against the Atlanta Falcons, but their defense
wreaked havoc as usual and helped them come away with a 20-13 win. They'll be looking to apply that same defensive pressure to the Patriots on Sunday.
