The New England Patriots’ offensive line is looked at in a redeeming light following Week 1, despite their efforts coming in a 13-10 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
Pro Football Focus ranked the Patriots’ offensive line No. 11 overall in their latest offensive-line power rankings after Week 1.
“The biggest question for the Patriots’ offensive line heading into this season was whether Will Campbell’s struggles at the end of the 2025 season were mainly due to injury,” PFF’s Gordon McGuinness wrote. “It’s obviously too early to draw any firm conclusions, but he looked good in pass protection despite the season-opening loss to the Seattle Seahawks. All five starters produced PFF pass-block win rates above 90.0%, though they were less impressive as run-blockers,
with all five earning PFF run-blocking grades below 70.0.”
New England’s starting front featured Will Campbell at left tackle, Alijah Vera-Tucker at left guard, Jared Wilson at center, Mike Onwenu at right guard and Morgan Moses at right tackle. The unit allowed three sacks for 10 yards in the game.
Keep in mind, they were going head-to-head with a Seahawks defensive front ranked among the best in football.
Onwenu was among the group’s most productive players, anchoring the interior with a strong showing in protection. Campbell and Moses also delivered encouraging performances at tackle, helping New England limit pressure from the edge. The No. 11 ranking reflects a unit with a reliable foundation and several proven contributors, but one that must become more effective overall in order to move into the league’s top tier.
