The Pittsburgh Steelers signed former New England Patriots linebacker Bradyn Swinson to their practice squad on Tuesday, the Steelers announced.

Swinson was selected by the Patriots with the No. 146 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. The veteran linebacker played in three games for New England last season and recorded one total tackle on the year. He also played in the AFC Championship Game against the Denver Broncos and helped the Patriots reach the Super Bowl at the end of last season.

The 24-year-old Swinson had a camp and preseason, but was released by New England on Sunday, which was the final day for teams across the league to narrow their rosters down to 53 men.

Swinson now joins forces with New England’s bitter AFC rivals in Pittsburgh

for next season. He will play against the Patriots for the first time as a member of the Steelers in Week 2.
