New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel gave an update on running back TreVeyon Henderson's health when speaking with media members on Monday morning.
Henderson has been dealing with an ankle injury that has held him out of practice since August 24. He suffered a minor ankle sprain after slipping on the turf while attempting a cut. Since then, his health status has remained in limbo, with the Patriots two days out from their regular season opener against the Seattle Seahawks on Wednesday night.
"We'll see how he feels today. We'll see if he can do anything," Vrabel said on Henderson. "He's been working extremely hard to come back, and we'll see where that goes today. We do have a few more days before, but we'll see what he's able to do today.

Henderson traveled with the team to Seattle, but he was listed as a did not participate at practice.
So the team is still giving him a chance to play in Wednesday's opener. If he's unable to go, the Patriots would turn to Rhamondre Stevenson and Corey Kiner as the top two running backs. They'd probably also call up either Hassan Haskins or Lan Larison to serve as the No. 3 option.
