The New England Patriots made several practice squad moves following their Week 8 win over the Miami Dolphins.
On Monday, the team announced that they released safety Elliott Davison and that they are signing running back Terrell Jennings to the practice squad. They also signed linebacker Elias Neal to the practice squad, per his agent Sean Stellato, via ESPN's Mike Reiss.
Davison began his NFL career with the New Orleans Saints in 2025 after playing collegiately at UTSA. He joined New England’s ranks in September. After initially being released and re-signed to the Patriots’ practice squad, Davison was elevated to the active roster in October.
He has appeared in three games this season, all for New England, and has recorded a pass breakup and two
tackles on the year.
Jennings originally signed with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent in 2024. He has yet to play in a game this season. He appeared in seven games last season for New England and rushed 23 times for 73 yards and a touchdown. He also recorded one reception for nine yards and returned two kickoffs for 59 yards.
Jennings now has an opportunity to regain his form with the Patriots’ practice squad and vie for a call-up to the active roster in the future.
Neal went undrafted in 2024 before signing with the Los Angeles Chargers. He has appeared in 10 games with all of his snaps coming on special teams.
