The New England Patriots aren't sure if star wide receiver A.J. Brown will be available for next week's home game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to head coach Mike Vrabel.
Brown reportedly suffered what is believed to be a high ankle sprain in the Patriots' 13-10 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Wednesday night. He is expected to undergo an MRI to get a better idea of the severity of the injury and the time he could potentially miss.
“We’re running more tests, but we’ll update you here next week," Vrabel told reporters on Thursday. "Wasn’t able to finish the game. We’ll continue to evaluate, continue to run tests. But I don’t know if he’ll be available here going forward for next week, but we’ll see. I know he'll do everything that
he can to get back as quickly as possible."

If Brown misses time, the Patriots would turn to Romeo Doubs as their No. 1 receiving target.
That comes with serious concerns considering he was targeted three times against the Seahawks and didn't come down with a single catch. He even dropped a wide-open pass from Drake Maye in the fourth quarter that would have moved the sticks in the game.
“I just wasn't locked in enough. That's all. Video speaks for itself. And like I said, I'll be better," Doubs said after the game, via Boston Herald's Andrew Callahan.
Doubs will have to be better if Brown is out.
