New England Patriots left tackle Will Campbell is putting together a strong body of work through the first seven games of the 2026 season. He has shown encouraging progress as a second-year veteran after having an uneventful ending to the previous season.
According to Pro Football Focus, Campbell has allowed just one sack this season while posting a 75.8 overall grade, 75.9 pass-blocking grade and a 96.5 pass-blocking efficiency on true pass, which ranks No. 14 among 66 qualified offensive tackles and No. 8 among left tackles.
The improvement marks a significant step forward for Campbell after he dealt with his share of ups-and-downs in his rookie season in 2025. He has demonstrated greater consistency in pass protection and has become a more
reliable presence along the offensive line. His development is an important positive for a Patriots offense looking to win a championship this season after losing in the Super Bowl at the end of last season.

— Doug Kyed (@DougKyed) November 2, 2026
One sack allowed
75.8 overall grade
75.9 pass-blocking grade
72.1 run-blocking grade
96.5 pass-blocking efficiency on true pass sets ranks 14th (eighth among LTs) of 66 qualified tackles.
Campbell's position on the team was not fully secure following his struggles in Super Bowl LX, in which he surrendered 14 total pressures in the game against the Seattle Seahawks, per NFL Next Gen Stats.
Despite the concerns surrounding his ability to handle the starting left tackle position following the loss to Seattle, New England’s coaching staff elected to keep him in the starting lineup this year, even after the team selected Caleb Lomu in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft.
Campbell's performance through eight weeks has helped reinforce the coaching staff's decision and strengthened confidence in his future as the team's starting left tackle.
