New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels likes what he’s seen from his unit leading up to the team’s Week 2 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
According to NBC Sports Boston’s Phil Perry, McDaniels raved about the intensity and approach from his players following the disappointing loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
“The mindset of the guys coming off of that (loss to Seattle) has been great,” McDaniels said.
The Patriots are looking to rebound from the 13-10 loss that they suffered at the hands of the Seahawks in Week 1. New England had the lead for a large portion of the game, but they wound up stringing together three costly turnovers and drops that contributed to the loss.
New England’s offensive core has had days to practice
in preparation for their next matchup. The unit will need to play with more precision in order to beat a Steelers team led by Aaron Rodgers, DK Metcalf and T.J. Watt that has playoff aspirations this season.
