New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel hinted at one thing that quarterback Drake Maye has improved in since the last time he was on the field during Super Bowl LX.
Maye and the Patriots' offense got bullied by the Seattle Seahawks' defense in a game filled with turnovers, sacks and relentless quarterback pressures. Is the same quarterback that the NFL world saw in the big game the same that will show up for the Week 1 rematch against the Seahawks?
That doesn't look to be the case, according to Vrabel.
"More comfort in what we're doing. More command. More understanding... I think there's probably a comfort level with, once you know your job really really well, you can help other people do their job," Vrabel said on Maye, via Patriots Wire's Sophie
Weller.
Along with Maye's improvements, the Patriots also have a significantly more formidable offense than the one the Seahawks faced at Super Bowl LX.
The team signed veteran wideout Romeo Doubs in free agency, and they pulled off a blockbuster trade for three-time All-Pro receiver A.J. Brown in June. Their offensive line has also improved in the second year under Vrabel.
It will be an uphill climb, make no mistake, but the Patriots have the pieces to make it interesting, assuming that Maye plays well.
