The New England Patriots defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers by a score of 20-3 in Week 2, putting them at 1-1 on the season and avoiding a 0-2 drought.
The Patriots' defense delivered several big plays in the game against Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and limited the team a great deal on the day. Christian Elliss came away with the biggest play of the day, which was a huge sack on Rodgers in the second quarter that led to a fumble. Elijah Ponder, Joshua Farmer and Christian Barmore also delivered a sack each in the game, making the win one that saw multiple contributors pitch in on defense.
The Patriots did not allow a single Steelers rusher to rush for over 43 yards, nor did they allow a single Steelers receiver to record over 35 receiving
yards in the game.
