Indianapolis Colts cornerback Sauce Gardner wasn't happy with the highlight floating around social media from Tuesday's joint training camp practice with the New England Patriots.
The clip showed the two-time All-Pro cornerback being beaten convincingly on a one-on-one rep
against Patriots three-time All-Pro wide receiver A.J. Brown. After the practice, Gardner hopped on X to address the noise from fans commenting about the play.The Colts' defender clearly wasn't having it.
"All this from a 1on1 rep? & a 8 yard sit route at that? its a reason that's the only one yall saw," Gardner posted, along with laughing, sleeping and lock emojis.

Unfortunately,
fans probably won't get to see the matchup between Brown and Gardner play out in real time.
According to Patriots coach Mike Vrabel, it is unlikely that quarterback Drake Maye will play in Thursday's preseason opener against the Colts. That means there's probably a high likelihood Brown won't be on the field, either. It's a shame because it would have made for a fun one-on-one matchup.
