New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels had a tongue-in-cheek response when asked about Tom Brady’s comments before Super Bowl LX against the Seattle Seahawks.
McDaniels gave the legendary Patriots star a taste of his own medicine.
Brady famously said that he didn't have "a dog in the fight" when asked about the Patriots and Seahawks game. That comment raised more than a few eyebrows considering there's a statue erected in Brady's honor at Gillette Stadium for helping to lead the franchise to six Super Bowls in a near 20-year run.
"I wouldn't have a dog in that fight, if that was the case," McDaniels responded on Jones & Keefe, when asked if he'd be bothered if Brady helped the Seahawks. "I don't know what that would or wouldn't have done.
Again, I'm sure when you play in that game, there's two weeks before the game happens. There's so much that can be taken in in terms of information and background. ...What we do and how we do it is really gonna end up being the ultimate determiner of whether or not we win or lose."

McDaniels makes a solid point.
The game is ultimately decided on the field between two teams, and the Patriots lost in that Super Bowl. With that said, the team has worked tirelessly in the offseason to improve on both sides of the ball, especially on the offensive side. The team will get its shot at revenge when opening the season in a Week 1 matchup against the Seahawks in Seattle.
