New England Patriots star cornerback Christian Gonzalez reacted in the wee hours of the night after reportedly agreeing to a four-year, $135 million contract extension.
According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, the deal is worth $102 million in guaranteed money, making Gonzalez the highest-paid cornerback in NFL history.

The Patriots have now locked up their best defensive player for the long-term ahead of Wednesday's Super Bowl LX rematch with the Seattle Seahawks in the regular season opener. It's a blockbuster move that sets a new precedent for the team moving forward.
