New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye had a solid game against the Buffalo Bills last Sunday, and he was looking to carry that strong performance over against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 5. He did exactly that on the first drive of the game by leading the Patriots down the field for a touchdown.
The quarterback went 2-of-2 passing on the drive, throwing for 51 yards and a 35-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver DeMario Douglas, who was waiting all alone in the end zone for an easy score. It was the second straight week that Maye and the offense scored on their first drive of the game.
For Maye, it was his fifth touchdown pass of the season and fourth in the last two games.

The Raiders would quickly answer with a touchdown of their own on the ensuing drive.
Nevertheless, the Patriots were able to set the tone quickly and show that their offensive breakout against the Bills was not a one-game fluke, but the start of a more positive trend.
