New England Patriots great Julian Edelman reacted to seeing footage showing the team’s celebration in the locker room after their overtime victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game back in 2019, a win that secured the team’s place and eventual win in Super Bowl LIII.
Per Fox Sports, earlier this month, Edelman was nostalgic over seeing the footage,
which captured the team at a high point in their playoff journey that year.“That sparks awesome memories,” Edelman said. “This moment that everyone is getting to be a fly on the wall on, is the moment all of us miss when we leave the game. It’s that moment right there. A [expletive] visitor locker room, on the road in a championship game, winning with the boys. There’s nothing
like that feeling. That was an absolute awesome win.”
The footage, which has gone viral, follows the aftermath of New England’s 37-31 victory over Kansas City. The Patriots earned their third straight Super Bowl appearance behind big play from several stars including Edelman, Tom Brady, Sony Michel and Rob Gronkowski.
Brady shared a notable moment with Patriots chairman Robert Kraft in the locker room, hugging the owner amid the postgame celebration and exchanging a few words.

We’ll never see a leader like Tom Brady again. Goes up to every single person in the locker room. Belichick looks so happy. Gronk is awesome. Edelman saying “I wanna play to make you great” is so…
The video also shows Brady hugging Edelman and embracing with other teammates, including Gronkowski after the conference title win. The exchange captured a behind-the-scenes moment of the team at the tail end of New England’s dynastic run prior to the turn of the current decade.
