Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams obviously has a lot of respect for Drake Maye.
He came up in the same 2024 NFL Draft class as the New England Patriots' quarterback, and the two have shared a friendship that started long before they faced off under the bright lights on Thursday Night Football in Week 7.
After the Bears' 30-24 victory over the Patriots, Williams could be heard asking Maye for his jersey when the two met up on the field. WGN Radio's Kevin Powell was in the Bears' locker room on Wednesday, and he noticed Maye's game-worn Patriots jersey still hanging up in Williams' locker.

It's the ultimate show of respect for Maye, who had an impressive performance
on the road despite the loss.
He went 24-of-31 passing for 321 yards, two touchdowns and one interception, while also rushing for a team-high 26 yards and one touchdown. The Patriots were missing two starting offensive linemen and two wide receivers for the game.
Yet, with Maye under center, they put up a valiant fight at Soldier Field and had a real chance to come away with the victory. Now, Maye and Williams are 1-1 when facing each other in the NFL, with fans of both eagerly anticipating a future rubber match.
