Former New England Patriots punter Bryce Baringer sent a farewell message to the franchise on social media shortly after being released by the team earlier this week.
Baringer bid farewell to New England in an Instagram post on Tuesday and thanked those who meant a lot to him within the franchise’s ranks.
“A lot of love for New England,” Baringer wrote. “Friendships and memories that will last a lifetime. Looking forward to what’s to come. The prize is in the journey.”
The Patriots released Baringer on Monday, ending his tenure with the franchise. New England selected Baringer with the No. 192 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft out of Michigan State. He played for the Patriots from 2023 through 2025 and was on the roster this season, though he didn't
play a single game.
Across his NFL career, Baringer has totaled 219 punts for 10,500 yards, averaging 47.9 yards per punt in 51 regular-season games.
With his release, Baringer now has a road ahead of him to explore opportunities with other NFL teams in need of a punter. His experience and career production should help him land a job on another team.
