Help is on the way for the New England Patriots.
Speaking to the media before practice on Wednesday, Patriots coach Mike Vrabel stated that Mack Hollins and Greg Van Roten will be returning to practice from injured reserve, per Patriots Wire’s Sophie Weller.
Hollins is set to make his return after suffering a calf injury that has sidelined him for the last four games. Before his injury, the veteran receiver appeared in four games, recording 15 receptions for 209 yards.
As for Van Roten, he is working his way back from a thigh injury. His return comes at a crucial time for New England, as the team has been hit with multiple injuries at the guard slot. Starting guards Mike Onwenu and Alijah Vera-Tucker are both currently on IR, making additional
depth at the position particularly important.
The Patriots’ focus is now turned toward a challenging Week 9 matchup against the Green Bay Packers. Getting Hollins and Van Roten back into the lineup will provide New England with valuable depth on offense as the team prepares for one of its toughest tests of the season.
