New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel commented on veteran defensive tackle Christian Barmore's reduced role this season.
Barmore, who was drafted by the Patriots in the second round in 2021, has seen his snap count dip below that of Milton Williams and Cory Durden. That's a huge deal for a player on a four-year, $84 million contract that he signed back in 2024.
Many are wondering if Barmore might even be on the trade block ahead of the November 10 deadline.
“Just trying to, you know, find ways to have him affect the quarterback. Try to make that his primary role. And try to play everybody," Vrabel told media members on Friday.

Barmore has still been productive in spurts with five tackles, three sacks and one forced fumble. The consistency hasn't always been there, which might have led to the dip in opportunities, but when locked in, the veteran defender is a proven force on the football field.
His usage will be something to watch, along with the ongoing trade talk, over the next couple of weeks.
