The New England Patriots were bested by the Jacksonville Jaguars by a score of 35-6 in Week 3, and the team’s defense bears responsibility for the score getting out of reach in the game.
Despite allowing the Jaguars to score 35 points, the Patriots’ defense held Jacksonville to 178 passing yards on the day. Nevertheless, Trevor Lawrence threw three touchdowns, Bhayshul Tuten had a productive game with 73 yards and a touchdown on the ground, and Jacksonville went 5-for-5 in the red zone.
Carlton Davis III led New England in tackles with eight. He also had a tackle for loss and a pass breakup on the game. Marcus Jones came away with an interception, and Gabe Jacas and Elijah Ponder both had 0.5 sacks on the day.
