New England Patriots defensive coordinator Zak Kuhr understands the challenge that the Buffalo Bills present the team with in their upcoming Week 4 matchup.
According to MassLive’s Mark Daniels, Kuhr stated after practice on Thursday that Bills quarterback Josh Allen will be a tough opponent for New England to contain in the AFC East rivalry matchup.
“MVP caliber quarterback playing MVP caliber football,” Kuhr said on Allen. “It’s going to be a great big challenge.”
Buffalo is off to a 3-0 start to the year. The Bills are perhaps the best well-oiled machine in the NFL on offense behind Allen. He has completed 56 of 86 passes for 786 yards, five touchdowns and two interceptions through three games. He has added 28 rushing attempts for 114 yards and six
touchdowns.
Meanwhile, New England has allowed the sixth-fewest passing yards (569) and the fourth-fewest passing TDs (4) to opponents this season, while coming away with two interceptions. The Patriots have also allowed opponents to rush for 4.3 yards per carry.
New England will seek to prevent Allen from having a big game with his arm, while also closing lanes for Bills running back James Cook to operate. With that, and exceptional play from the Patriots' secondary against Dalton Kincaid, DJ Moore and company, New England will put itself in the best position to win in Week 4.
