Best and worst defensive PFF grades for Patriots in loss to Seahawks

The New England Patriots lost to the Seattle Seahawks 13-10 in their season opener.

New England saw A.J. Brown go down with an injury, and the Seahawks lost Sam Darnold due to an injury early in the game. Nevertheless, it was a low-scoring, defensive affair through and through.

Patriots edge rushers Dre’Mont Jones and Gabe Jacas each recorded a sack in the game, and cornerback Christian Gonzalez helped limit Seattle while operating in the secondary, whereas Uchenna Nwosu, Drake Thomas and Josh Jobe made critical plays that kept New England from piling on points, which set up Seattle for the win.
