New England Patriots center Jared Wilson has been named to Pro Football Focus’ Week 3 Team of the Week after delivering a standout individual performance against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Wilson’s pass protection stood out on the week, despite New England losing to Jacksonville by a score of 35-6. He did not allow a single pressure, sack or quarterback hit in Week 3, finishing with a 75.6 offensive grade. His 72.5 run-blocking grade further reflected an effective all-around outing for him, as Wilson helped keep the interior of the Patriots’ line stable.
Wilson joined Detroit Lions left tackle Penei Sewell, left guard Christian Mahogany, Pittsburgh Steelers right guard Brock Hoffman and Los Angeles Chargers right tackle Joe Alt as the offensive
linemen who were selected to the team. The selection put Wilson alongside some of football’s most established linemen and marked another encouraging individual performance for him in his first season playing at the center position, after playing left guard for New England in 2025.
For the Patriots, Wilson’s selection offers a positive takeaway entering the next week. His clean protection performance provides evidence that he could become a consistently dependable presence in the middle of the Patriots’ offensive line moving forward.
