The New England Patriots announced that they have re-signed cornerback Kindle Vildor to the practice squad on Thursday.
Vildor, who was a training camp standout, was always expected to return to the practice squad after the team released him earlier in the week to make room for offensive tackle Marcus Bryant, who was activated from injured reserve.
The veteran defensive back has contributed throughout the season when the Patriots' cornerback position was dealing with multiple injuries. He has appeared in five games and recorded six tackles, one forced fumble, one pass defended and one special teams tackle.
Vildor has a previous connection with Patriots coach Mike Vrabel, as he played with the Tennessee Titans in the 2023 season. He's also had stops
with the Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Philadelphia Eagles and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Vildor is a solid defensive back to have stashed on the practice squad if the injury bug strikes in New England again. He has been a reliable plug-and-play piece that the team depended on early, and they would gladly do so again if the situation calls for it down the stretch.
