The New England Patriots announced multiple roster moves on Tuesday, including the practice squad signings of running back Hassan Haskins and defensive back D'Shawn Jamison, along with the release of edge rusher Jose Ramirez.
Haskins was originally signed by New England on August 12 and began the season on the practice squad before being released on September 14.
Jamison began his career as a rookie free agent with the San Francisco 49ers in 2023. He was claimed off waivers by the Carolina Panthers that year and played in 15 games, finishing with five total tackles and three tackles on special teams. He has also spent time with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Ramirez was officially signed to the 53-man roster on September 23. He was released on October
6 and came back on October 8. He appeared in two games with the Patriots on defense and special teams.
The Patriots bringing in Haskins makes sense considering the injury situation with TreVeyon Henderson, who reportedly suffered a high ankle sprain in the Week 5 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. They were also missing four cornerbacks in that game, which would explain the need to bring in a veteran like Jamison.
