After two competitive joint practice sessions, the New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles will collide in Week 2 preseason action on Saturday.
The Patriots won the first joint practice on Wednesday with Drake Maye sizzling in the pocket. New England's third-year quarterback had 13 straight completions at one point, finishing the practice 16-of-19 passing. However, things were much more even on Day 2 with the Eagles tightening up defensively.
With that said, the Patriots still found success on offense with the bevy of weapons in Maye's arsenal, including three-time All-Pro wide receiver A.J. Brown and burgeoning star Romeo Doubs. On the defensive side of the ball, veteran cornerback Marcus Jones had three interceptions through the two practices,
including two against Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts on Thursday.
The Patriots are coming off a 13-13 tie with the Indianapolis Colts in the preseason opener, while the Eagles fell 24-7 to the Baltimore Ravens.
