New England Patriots running back TreVeyon Henderson is still sidelined with an ankle injury.
According to Sports Illustrated’s Mike Kadlick, Henderson was not at practice again on Saturday, with the team preparing for its season opener against the Seattle Seahawks on September 9.
Henderson injured his ankle on August 24 and has not practiced since. He is in line to split carries with Rhamondre Stevenson in New England’s offensive backfield this season. He and Stevenson also shared responsibilities in the ground game for New England last season.
Henderson rushed for 911 yards and nine touchdowns in 2025 with New England. He helped the Patriots reach the Super Bowl at the end of the season. He also recorded 221 receiving yards and a receiving touchdown on the year.
The Patriots have two more practices left, which will give Henderson additional opportunities to return and prepare for Week 1 against Seattle.
