It didn't take Drake Maye long to turn the football over.
The New England Patriots quarterback dropped back on his second drive of the game and lost the ball when rearing back to throw. It was a shocking turnover on a drive where the Patriots' offense was starting to move down the field.
That play came after Maye threw three interceptions in the regular season opener against the Seattle Seahawks. He then threw another interception in last week's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
It has been one of those weird starts to the season where seemingly nothing has gone right for Maye and the offense. After the play, Maye could only stare blankly at his hands, wondering what happened.

Maye hasn't played well since the postseason started last season.
Granted, the Patriots have faced a string of tough defenses, but the 2025 MVP runner-up has seemingly fallen off a cliff. The coaching staff will have to work some magic to get the 24-year-old gunslinger out of his own head and back on track.
