The New England Patriots lost three key offensive linemen to injuries Sunday against the New York Jets, with Alijah Vera-Tucker, Morgan Moses and Ben Brown all leaving the Week 6 matchup.
Vera-Tucker suffered a hamstring injury late in the second quarter of the game. He visited the medical tent before heading to the locker room. Matt Pryor entered the game after Vera-Tucker left the field.
Moses also departed the game with an ankle injury. The veteran tackle remained on the field for medical attention before limping off the field. Rookie Caleb Lomu replaced him at right tackle.
Ben Brown suffered a knee injury during game, which further depleted New England’s offensive line depth.
Their departures forced New England to adjust its offensive line
while attempting to protect quarterback Drake Maye and maintain its offensive rhythm.
Despite the offensive line setbacks, New England secured a 26-19 victory at Gillette Stadium. Maye connected with Hunter Henry for a fourth-quarter touchdown, and cornerback Charles Woods recorded a pivotal interception as the Patriots held off New York to claim their third consecutive win.
