New England Patriots star running back TreVeyon Henderson began his 2026 NFL season on the right foot against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.
Henderson bursted up the middle for a 39-yard rushing touchdown with 8:22 left to play in the first quarter in spectacular fashion.
Morgan Moses delivered a sensational block on the play, while Alijah Vera-Tucker and Jared Wilson also did a great job of walling off their assignments, freeing up a sizable hole that Henderson exploited for the touchdown. The score put the Patriots up 6-0 over the Steelers.
The Patriots were waiting for Henderson to return to the field after he missed Week 1 due to an ankle injury. He delivered on a big play early in the game that put New England on the board first. The play is also
one of the best of the season for the Patriots thus far.
Henderson will continue to share the offensive backfield with Rhamondre Stevenson moving forward now that he is healthy once again.
