Philadelphia Eagles star Jordan Mailata had quite the reaction to seeing teammate Jalen Hurts link up with former teammate and New England Patriots star A.J. Brown on the field at the two teams’ most recent joint practice.
Mailata expressed how the moment had the potential to go viral after seeing Brown and Hurts chop it up on the practice field on Thursday, per NBC Sports Philadelphia.
”Gee, that’s gonna be a good clip for you mate,” Mailata said. “Might be a trending clip right there.”
Brown was teammates with Hurts and Mailata on the Eagles for four seasons from 2022-25. The three won a Super Bowl together in the 2024 season. However, the former two were involved in a controversy that season after Brown publicly spoke out about not getting the ball
enough in the Eagles’ offense, which Hurts ran as the team’s starting quarterback.
The 29-year-old Brown had a highly-publicized split from the franchise this offseason after Philadelphia traded him to New England on June 1. Now settled in New England, Brown and Hurts caught up on the field in joint practice in a moment that has since made waves.
Brown could get his first chance to go up against his former team, led by Hurts and Mailata, when the Patriots take on the Eagles in their upcoming preseason matchup on Saturday.
