New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel gave an update on the health status of running back TreVeyon Henderson, when appearing on The Greg Hill Show on Monday.
Henderson has not been at practice since August 24. The running back left practice early after going down with an ankle injury while attempting a cut on the turf. He was inactive for the season opener against the Seattle Seahawks, and the team leaned on Rhamondre Stevenson to carry the load, with Corey Kiner serving as the No. 2 running back.
Although not concrete, Vrabel offered an idea of when the running back could return to practice, as the Patriots are set to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.
"Hopefully we'll get him out to practice here in the next few days," Vrabel said, via

The Patriots offense could use a spark after losing star wide receiver A.J. Brown to a high ankle sprain in the opener. Brown was put on injured reserve and will miss at least the next four games. Henderson is an explosive running back option with the ability to also serve as an extra wide receiver out of the backfield.
That could be huge for a Patriots team coming off a disappointing offensive performance against the Seahawks.
