The New England Patriots will be more shorthanded than they've been all season for Sunday's game against the visiting Las Vegas Raiders.
As Patriots
coach Mike Vrabel announced on Friday, the Patriots will be playing without both of their starting cornerbacks, Christian Gonzalez and Carlton Davis III. They will also be missing their starting fullback, Reggie Gilliam, and veteran wide receiver Mack Hollins.Those absences will put a lot of pressure on defensive coordinator Zak Kuhr to find ways to slow down a Raiders offense that has overachieved through four games in the season.
The good news for the Patriots is that running back Rhamondre Stevenson and defensive tackle Christian Barmore are active for the game. Whether that's enough for the team
to fend off the Raiders and pick up a second straight win remains to be seen.
On the Raiders' side of things, second-year running back Ashton Jeanty is active with an ankle/foot injury. Here's the full list of inactives for both teams ahead of the Week 5 matchup:
