New England Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson suffered an injury in last week's win over the Buffalo Bills.
There was speculation surrounding the injury after Stevenson was seen limping off the field late in the game. According to NFL insider Ari Meirov, the Patriots worked out veteran running back Jamaal Williams on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, Patriots coach Mike Vrabel confirmed that Stevenson is dealing with an injury that will keep him out for the team's first practice of the week. However, there is still a chance that he could be ready to play in Sunday's game against the Las Vegas Raiders, according to Vrabel.
"There's a chance he could play. There's just no chance he'll practice today," Vrabel said, via Patriots Wire's Sophie Weller.

If Stevenson is expected to miss time, that would instantly vault TreVeyon Henderson up the depth chart as the No. 1 running back for the Patriots. Corey Kiner would likely project as the No. 2 option, and the team would probably sign a veteran to come in and contribute in the No. 3 role.
Not having Stevenson on the field would be a major loss for the Patriots. Along with providing the most consistency as a runner, he's also a reliable receiving target and pass protector for quarterback Drake Maye, who is already playing without A.J. Brown and possibly Mack Hollins.
It creates the possibility for more adversity for the third-year gunslinger to overcome.
