After missing the last two games, New England Patriots star cornerback Christian Gonzalez returned to practice on Wednesday after indicating that he is "good" and "ready to go."
Gonzalez suffered a shoulder injury in the Week 3 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, and he has been sidelined ever since. He missed the Patriots' previous six practices, along with games against the Buffalo Bills and Las Vegas Raiders.
The team obviously missed his lockdown presence in the defensive backfield. Gonzalez looked like one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL in his first three games of the season. So it's no surprise that the Patriots are eager to get a player of his caliber back on the field as soon as possible.
His return to practice is obviously the first
hurdle in the process, but he still needs to get cleared to play in a game. So we'll have to wait and see when that officially happens.
How are you feeling?

The Patriots have tested their depth in previous games, with players like Charles Woods and Kindle Vildor stepping up and filling prominent defensive roles.
Time will tell if the Patriots have to continue relying on the backups or if they'll finally be able to hand the reins back over to their star players, like Gonzalez, this week.
