Will New England Patriots star A.J. Brown outplay his average draft position in fantasy football next season?
According to Pro Football Focus’ Nathan Jahnke, Brown is one of five players poised to outperform their ADP in 2026, with the star wide receiver’s ADP being 3.04.
“Brown owns a 12.8-yard average depth of target over the last three seasons, the most among the top-10 wide receivers by PFF grade,” Jahnke wrote. “His new quarterback, Drake Maye, was the fourth-most accurate on passes of 13 or more yards at 49.7% last season, while Jalen Hurts ranked third-lowest among the top 30 quarterbacks at 36.8%. Brown should not only be a bigger part of the Patriots' offense, but also more effective per target as well.“

1 option in the receiving game for New England next season.
He is likely to be the benefactor of more looks down the field, which will aid him in putting up bigger numbers in 2026. Not only so, but the Patriots have many weapons in their offense that will take pressure off of Brown. That will enable him to do more in a fresh, new environment and give fantasy football team managers more than what he’s expected to bring to a team from a value standpoint, compared to his other elite peers in the league.
Along with Brown, the Patriots signed Romeo Doubs in free agency, while they still also have Kayshon Boutte, Demario Douglas, Mack Hollins and Kyle Williams. The bevy of receiving targets will make it hard for opposing defenses to shift all of their focus on Brown, which potentially sets the stage for another huge season for the three-time All Pro receiver.
