New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel gave an update on wide receiver Romeo Doubs, who suffered a shoulder injury in last week's win over the New York Jets.
Doubs left the game in the first quarter after getting injured on a diving 42-yard touchdown catch. He walked off the field with trainers after the play and did not return to the game. On Monday, the Patriots announced that they were placing Doubs on injured reserve, which means that he will miss at least the next four games.
A recent report from ESPN's Jeremy Fowler suggested that Doubs is hopeful that he can return to action after the Week 11 bye. However, Vrabel wouldn't commit to any timeline relating to the injury.
"The expectation is that he'll work hard and get treatment. But to say
I know exactly when he'll be back, I don't think that's fair to anybody," Vrabel told media members.

This will be an injury worth monitoring in the coming weeks.
The Patriots are still dealing with veteran wide receiver Mack Hollins being on injured reserve as well. There was hope that Doubs and A.J. Brown would serve as a solid duo on offense for the team. Perhaps that will still happen later this season, but so far, the two have not been able to stay healthy at the same time.
Brown will continue to move forward as the No. 1 receiving option in a receiving corps that is down to DeMario Douglas, Kyle Williams and Efton Chism III.
