The New England Patriots had two players who shined for them in their final preseason game of the year land on Pro Football Focus’ latest Team of the Week.
PFF recognized Patriots offensive tackle Dametrious Crownover
and newly-released offensive tackle James Hudson III on its Preseason Week 3 Team of the Week at right and left tackle, respectively, after their strong play in New England’s 37-13 loss to the Cleveland Browns.Crownover played 50 offensive snaps for New England and earned an 83.9 run-blocking grade and a 70.6 pass-blocking grade against the Browns. He did not give up a sack or a hit, but he did allow three pressures and committed one penalty in the game.
Hudson did not allow any sacks, hits or pressures across 37 total snaps played
against Cleveland. He earned an 88.2 pass-blocking grade for his efforts, though he did earn a 69.2 run-blocking grade for his work in the affair.
Crownover made it onto the final 53-man roster for New England following the NFL cut deadline, and he will be positioned to help the Patriots at both tackle slots for next season.
