The New England Patriots can breathe a huge sigh of relief when it comes to injured left tackle Will Campbell.
According to NFL insider Tom Pelissero, Campbell is considered "week-to-week" after undergoing tests for the injury he suffered in Sunday's game against the Las Vegas Raiders. The second-year offensive lineman is believed to have avoided a "major knee injury."
After the injury, Campbell got up and walked off the field under his own power. He later returned to the sidelines with his helmet in hand and was spotted on the stationary bike, which provided some level of optimism that the injury wasn't serious.

Rookie offensive tackle Caleb Lomu filled in at left tackle and held up well for the rest of the game. Whether Campbell will be healthy enough to return for the Patriots' Week 6 game against the New York Jets remains to be seen.
If not, the team could look to give Lomu his first NFL start at left tackle. He has worked predominantly on the right side behind veteran Morgan Moses, but he has extensive experience playing at left tackle in college. Campbell has been one of the unsung heroes of the improved offensive line performances, but the Patriots will also have to be careful not to rush him back too quickly.
More will be revealed when the first injury report of the week drops on Wednesday.
