What is the story about?

The New England Patriots will wear their red Pat Patriot throwback uniforms twice this season.

In a social media post, the team announced that they will wear the throwbacks on Sunday, October 11, against the Las Vegas Raiders, as well as Thursday, December 10, against the Minnesota Vikings.

They also wore the uniforms twice last season as well. The first time was in Week 3 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the second time was in Week 13 against the New York Giants on Monday Night Football.

The red throwbacks are still a big fan-favorite option for the team, and they'll once again be breaking them out for two scheduled home games in 2026.

Some love the red uniforms so much that they believe the team should consider making them the primary uniforms.

The Patriots were 1-1 while wearing the uniforms last year. We'll see if they can pull off a clean sweep against two teams that failed to make the playoffs last season.
