Following Baugh's initial entry into the top 10 list last week at No. 10, he remains in the mix now ranked No. 8. The All-SEC back has wasted little time making his case as one of the top running backs in college football, and his strong start to the 2026 season has kept him firmly in the Heisman Trophy
conversation.
Through two games, the Florida junior is fourth among all rushers with 296 yards and five touchdowns on 28 carries, averaging an impressive 10.6 yards per carry. Baugh opened the season with 160 yards and three touchdowns against Florida Atlantic before adding 136 yards and two scores in Florida’s 52-3 win over Campbell.
Baugh’s production through the first two weeks has finally allowed him to be mentioned with the nation's top players and contend for college football's most coveted individual award.
