The losses continue to pile up for Florida football, which fell to the Oklahoma Sooners in the Swamp on Saturday, 23-7. It was the fourth defeat in the last five tries for the Gators, whose optimism under Jon Sumrall in his debut campaign is quickly turning into pessimism after starting the season with four straight wins.
It should come as no surprise, then, that the Orange and Blue now finds itself voteless in the latest AP Top 25 poll, falling from the edge of the rankings last week, when Florida sat at No. 25 with 79 points, into the abyss. The last time the Gators came away empty-handed on the ballot was the final edition released at the conclusion of the 2025 season.
Florida is also voteless in the US LBM Coaches Poll after the Week 10 loss.
This week, the SEC has eight member schools among the top 25 — down from 10 last week — with Georgia ascending to the top spot in the polls, followed by Alabama (No. 7), Texas (No. 8), Tennessee (No. 9), Kentucky (No. 14), Ole Miss (No. 19), South Carolina (No. 20) and LSU (No. 24).
Missouri fell out of the upper echelon of the rankings and now holds the de facto No. 26 spot with 50 points. No other conference school received votes.
Next up, Florida hits the road to take on Kentucky on Saturday, Nov. 14, in Lexington. The game is scheduled to kick off at 6:15 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on ESPN.
