Florida running back Jadan Baugh opened the season with 160 yards and three touchdowns on 14 carries, pushing him past the 2,000-yard mark for his career.
Baugh is the 20th player in program history to reach 2,000 yards on the ground, and he now sits at 2,003 through 26 career games. The junior is already climbing a crowded part of Florida’s record book, with James Jones (2,068), Mike Gillislee (2,072) and Deshawn Wynn (2,077) all within 75 yards.
The opener against FAU also marked Baugh’s sixth career 100-yard rushing game and moved him to 18 career rushing touchdowns, good for No. 16 in program history. That gives this season a second record-book race to track alongside his yardage total.

Baugh is coming off a 1,170-yard sophomore season that already placed him among the most productive backs in Florida history. He became just the third underclassman in program history to rush for 1,000 yards in a season, joining Emmitt Smith and Errict Rhett. Another big year could push Baugh well into the top 10 — and potentially much higher — on Florida’s career rushing list.
