Florida football is trending for four-star wide receiver Tyree Mannings Jr. out of Venice, Florida. Mannings is the No. 88 overall prospect and the No. 13 WR in the 2028 class, according to Rivals. A top-10 prospect in the Sunshine State, Mannings is predicted by Gators Online's Corey Bender to land in Gainesville.
Bender attributes his projection to multiple sources over a 48-hour period who consistently pointed to Florida as Manning's leading candidate. Gators wide receiver coach Marcus Davis is reportedly a major reason Florida has separated itself from other programs pursuing the blue-chip athlete, among them Georgia, LSU and Auburn.
During a breakout sophomore campaign, Mannings emerged as one of the most dominant players in Florida. The
Venice High School product hauled in 84 catches for 1,429 yards, finishing with the third-most receiving yards in the state. His performance also earned him MaxPreps Sophomore All-American honors.
The Gators have made it clear Mannings is a priority target on their recruiting board. With the program's 2027 class largely assembled, the staff has shifted much of its focus to 2028 prospects such as Mannings, four-star EDGE Asher Ghioto and four-star WR Brysen Wright.
Gaining a commitment from Mannings would mark a major for Florida as the program aims to keep elite in-state talent at home.

Manning is ranked as the No. 88 overall prospect and No. 13 wide receiver nationally in the 2028 class, according to Rivals industry rankings, with 247Sports composite also having him at Nos. 88 and 13. Florida holds an overwhelming edge over the competition for his services with a 91.7% chance of earning his commitment.
Manning has 23 total offers, including eight other SEC programs.
