Florida football took Week 8 off for its lone bye of the 2026 campaign, but most of the Gators' peers continued to play last weekend, resulting in some notable changes in many of the various rankings.
Following Week 7's college football slate, CBS Sports writer Chip Patterson published his latest re-rank of all 138 FBS teams, which saw Florida move up four spots to No. 20. The Gators now sit between No. 19 Arizona and No. 21 Houston.
Compare that with the US LBM Coaches Poll, which now ranks the Gators at No. 20, and the AP Top 25, which has them at No. 17.
Next up, Florida faces Georgia in their annual rivalry game on Saturday, Oct. 31, which will be played in Atlanta and broadcast on ABC starting at 3:30 p.m. ET.
